ATLANTA, GA – Parents from across the state of Georgia are rallying later this week at the Georgia School Choice Rally to demand a greater voice and the ability to select the school that’s right for their children and find a learning environment that works, no matter their address.

The event is co-hosted by GeorgiaCAN, a nonpartisan education advocacy organization. Steven Quinn, GeorgiaCAN outreach director, says of the importance of school choice for the children of the Peach State: “At GeorgiaCAN, we believe parents should have more control over their children’s education and greater ability to customize it to match their children’s individual talents. Lawmakers have the power to expand options and we hope, by listening to Georgia parents, they do.”The rally, which will be free and open to the public, will be held on Tuesday, February 22 at 12 pm at Liberty Plaza at the Georgia State Capitol.

Steven is the state outreach manager for GeorgiaCAN. Besides working hard for Georgia’s kids, he enjoys checking out local record shops, gardening and trying out new recipes.
