We’re excited to see you on Saturday. Below are a few questions and answers we’ve received about the expo.

When’s the expo?

The expo will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where is the expo?

The expo will take place at Ivy Prep Academy. The address is 1807 Memorial Dr SE, Atlanta, GA 30317.

Is there parking?

Yes! There will be on-site parking, but please note there’s a lot of interest in the event. We encourage attendees to use MARTA or ridesharing apps like UBER or LYFT.

Is this event kid-friendly?

Yes! We will have a photo booth, face painting, and so much more. These activities are FREE.

How long should I expect to be at the expo?

This expo is self-guided, so you can take as long as you want until the expo ends at 1 p.m. We just ask that you are mindful of others!

Does this event cost anything?

No. It’s FREE!

What schools will be there?

More than 40 schools have RSVP’d to attend. Each school represents a different attendance zone and we’ll note the district(s) they serve at their booths. We will also provide this information on a map.

What districts are invited?

Currently, we’ve invited schools that serve the following districts:

Atlanta Public Schools, Clayton County Public Schools, Cobb County Public Schools, DeKalb County Public Schools, Douglas County Public Schools, Fulton County Public Schools, Henry County Public Schools, and Gwinnett County Public Schools. There will also be charters that have a statewide attendance zone.

As stated earlier, every school has a different attendance zone, so please be aware that not every school serves these districts.

When are applications due?

Each school has a different enrollment period. Please be sure to ask the school during the expo—they’re attending to answer your questions!

What if I have questions?

We’re here to help! If you’ve got questions in advance of the expo, please send an email to steven.quinn@gacan.org. On the day of the expo, look out for volunteers wearing Atlanta Charter Expo t-shirts. They’re more than happy to help!
