Whitney Honeywood is a Clayton county dedicated mother and advocate for her son, Kyle, which is her initial cause to push for advocacy through her community. Their story to obtain proper education and assistance for his educational needs is why she chose to become a parent fellow through GeorgiaCAN. Being unaware of the proper steps and guidelines to take in helping and speaking for her son helped her follow the path of advocating for not only her child but also other children throughout her community. With the resources she has obtained from various workshops, meeting with other parent organizations, and successfully completing her GA CAN E.P.I.C. training in 2024, she chose to make an intentional step in helping other families gain proper education for their children. With the dedication and determination to seek proper education for our children, we will succeed.
