Ericka Smith is a California native and long-time Metro Atlanta resident with over 20 years of experience in education, administration, and community engagement. A passionate advocate for equity in Early Childhood Education, she is the founder of Define Me/Transcending Learning Differences, a nonprofit supporting children with learning differences through advocacy and early intervention.
Ericka holds a B.A. in Early Childhood Education and has led civic initiatives with the Junior League of Atlanta and the National Center for Learning Disabilities. She currently serves as Diversity Chair for Decoding Dyslexia Georgia and works with organizations like GEEARS and PAACT to advance early learning access for children ages 0–5. A devoted mother of two, Ericka blends personal and professional experience to empower families and redefine learning differences as strengths.
