Parent and Community Engagement Fellow

Brandon Jones is a psychologist, human services practitioner, certified life coach, and neuro-linguistic programming specialist with a passion for building resilient communities through education. Originally from a small town in South Georgia, Brandon has dedicated his career to helping individuals and families become “comfortable with being uncomfortable,” rewiring limiting beliefs into pathways of growth and opportunity. His work through Skrews4Life, a human services and advocacy organization he founded, has centered on expanding access to mental health resources, youth mentorship, and parent engagement. With certification training in neuroplasticity, NLP, and cognitive behavioral practices, Brandon brings both scientific rigor and community-rooted empathy to his leadership.

Brandon is deeply engaged in charter school work because he has seen firsthand the gaps and inequities within traditional public education—especially in communities where families are seeking more responsive, culturally aware, and opportunity-driven schools. As a Fellow with Power Public Schools, the first charter school to open in South Cobb, he is committed to ensuring that families have access to innovative education models that center mental health, entrepreneurship, and early college readiness pathways.

For Brandon, this work is personal: it represents the chance to disrupt generational cycles, provide young people with the tools to thrive, and build schools that reflect the strengths and aspirations of the communities they serve.
