Since 2014 I have taught Early Elementary in both traditional and charter Atlanta Public Schools. I am a parent of 4, and have navigated this role in both the charter and traditional setting within APS. My passion is making sure every child receives an equitable education, with equal access to resources. By forming the bridge to ensure both caregiver and teacher work in the best interest of the child, I believe the education system will provide the amazing service caregivers initially trusted it to do. I believe the cup of education is poured out in the classroom. If we equip and fill our educators with the correct development and tools, then the overflow will spill onto our students. Making sure all voices get heard and equitable policies get put into law, is just one step closer to forming the ideal system.
