Empowered Parents Invested in Change (EPIC) brings together like-minded individuals who are committed to improving the quality of education in their communities and across the state. EPIC is a 7-week parent empowerment training program designed to equip parents with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to create meaningful change.
The winter session begins on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.

Requirements
- Apply and be accepted into this program
- Have a child or grandchild or connection to a child (extended family) in the Georgia education system, private school, and or homeschooled (this includes Pre-K).
- Attend at least six out of the seven training sessions (each session will be a 1 hour to 1 ½ hour-long training session)
- Have a strong passion for advocacy and improving education
Training schedule for Winter 2026:
- February 12th– EPIC introduction and How to tell your story. Advocates will learn how to craft and build their personal stories when it comes to advocacy
- February 19th – Advocacy 101. Advocates will learn the basics of advocacy and how to set up a strong campaign that wins every time.
- February 26th –The power of relationship building. During this training, participants will hear from parents and fellow advocates on the importance of relationship building.
- March 5th – Organizing 101. Let’s talk about how to build a movement. This session will give families 101 on organizing.
- March 12th –Education Policy 101. We will be joined by policy experts to share a little insight into the policy landscape. Participants will have a crash course in civics.
- March 19th – School Data. Participants will have an opportunity to understand the importance of school data and how they can use it to change their child’s education.
- March 26th – Graduation
Each training will start at 7 PM and will be held on Thursdays. Sessions will not be recorded.

There is no stipend associated with this program. This program is volunteer-only.
